  • BCA-Industry Built Environment ITE Scholarship

    Overview

    Scholarship programme offered by Building and Construction Authority, in collaboration with industry firms, to students of high calibre pursuing full-time Built Environment (BE) courses at ITE colleges.
    Programme Structure

    • Stage 1 (Full-Time Study) provides financial incentives during ITE study
    • Stage 2 (Post-ITE Development) provides a clear progression path and attractive salary for ITE graduates
    • Bond period: Two years

    • Enrolled in one of 13 listed built environment courses
  • Energy-Industry Scholarship

    Overview

    Scholarship programme offered by the Energy Market Authority, in collaboration with power sector organisations such as Sembcorp Industries Ltd, Singapore LNG Corporation Pte Ltd and Singapore Power Ltd, to ITE students from relevant engineering courses.
    Programme Structure

    • Full-term scholarship covering tuition fees, one-time allowance for purchase of items related to studies (e.g. computer and books) and monthly living allowance
    • Mid-term scholarship for those who have already commenced their studies
    • Bond period: Two years

  • SP Engineering Scholarship

    Overview

    Scholarship programme offered by Singapore Polytechnic (SP) to high calibre individuals who demonstrate academic excellence, present excellent co-curricular activities records and exhibit outstanding leadership qualities. Up to 30 scholarships are offered annually.
    Programme Structure

    • Full-time: Renewable yearly for up to three years
    • Sponsorship of tuition fees
    • Bond period: Not applicable

    • Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident
    • Strong leadership qualities and potential
    • No disciplinary records
    • Ranked in the top 5% of the diploma course cohort after year 1 Semester 1 examinations

  • NYP Scholarship (ITE Pathway)

    Overview

    Scholarship programme offered by Nanyang Polytechnic to top performing ITE students pursuing full-time diploma courses in NYP.
    Programme Structure

    • Full-time: Renewable yearly for up to three years
    • Sponsorship of tuition fees
    • Allowance of educational expenses

    Overview

    Study award offered by the Singapore Economic Development Board to Year 1 ITE students completing a NITEC in Digital & Precision Engineering or NITEC in Aerospace Machining Technology.

    • Sponsorship of NITEC fees
    • S$500 monthly allowance for duration of two-year NITEC programme

Work-Learn Programmes in Engineering

  • Technical Engineer Diploma in Automotive Engineering

    Overview

    This diploma is offered by ITE, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany. This course provides students with the skills and knowledge in analysing and resolving complex technical problems associated with motor vehicles, managing workshop maintenance and repair services, and rendering technical advice and providing workshop services to motorists.
    Programme Structure

    • Two years of full-time training at ITE College West
    • Graduates can apply for admission to the related NUS Bachelor of Technology programmes as well as to Universities of Applied Sciences in Germany
    Eligibility Criteria

    • Singapore Citizen
    • GPA of 2.0 and above in Higher NITEC programme or GPA of 3.0 and above in NITEC programme in one of 17 listed directly related engineering courses
    • GPA of 2.0 and above in Higher NITEC programme with two years of relevant working experience or GPA of 3.0 and above in NITEC programme with two years of relevant working experience in one of 51 listed less-directly related engineering courses
  • Technical Engineer Diploma in Machine Technology

    Overview

    This diploma is offered by ITE, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany. This course provides students with the skills and knowledge in the area of machine / equipment design and building, including making, assembling, testing and commissioning.
    Programme Structure

    • Two years of full-time training at ITE College Central
    • Graduates can apply for admission to the related NUS Bachelor of Technology programmes as well as to Universities of Applied Sciences in Germany
    Eligibility Criteria

    • Singapore Citizen
    • GPA of 2.0 and above in Higher NITEC programme or GPA of 3.0 and above in NITEC programme in one of 22 listed directly related engineering courses
    • GPA of 2.0 and above in Higher NITEC programme with two years of relevant working experience or GPA of 3.0 and above in NITEC programme with two years of relevant working experience in one of 48 listed less-directly related engineering courses

    Overview

    These programmes are offered by SkillsFuture in collaboration with industry partners, to give ITE graduates a head-start in careers related to their discipline of study. It provides them with more opportunities after graduation, to build on the skills and knowledge they acquired in school, and better supports their transition into the workforce.
    Programme Structure

    • Applicants will be matched with a job related to their discipline of study and undergo a 12 to 18-month structured training programme
    • Programme includes facilitated learning, on-the-job training and work-based projects
    • Articulation pathways into degree programmes are also available in selected sectors

    Overview

    The work-study programme is a formal apprenticeship-based training arrangement delivered in partnership with the industry and is designed to give fresh graduates from ITE a head-start in careers related to their discipline of study. It provides them with more opportunities after graduation, to build on the skills and knowledge they acquired in school, and better supports their transition into the workforce.
    Programme Structure

    • Full-time work-study programme where the sponsoring company assigns a qualified trainer to supervise and monitor the trainee's progress throughout the programme
    • Programme includes off-the-job and on-the-job training

    Overview

    Scholarship programme offered by Germany’s Universities of Applied Sciences (UAS) in collaboration with companies, to allow students to simultaneously earn a Bachelor’s Degree while gaining work experience in Germany.
    Programme Structure

    • Full-time work study programme where the sponsoring company accompanies the scholar through his or her three-year university and provides multiple structured internships in different departments
    • Bond period: Not applicable
    Eligibility Criteria

    • Graduating Polytechnic student or alumni from the faculty of engineering
    • GPA of 3.5 and above
  • Singapore-Industry Scholarship (SgIS)

    Overview

    Established in 2012, the Singapore-Industry Scholarship (SgIS) is the only multi-industry scholarship in partnership with the Singapore Government. SgIS seeks to groom the next generation of young talent by developing core skills and competencies. The organisations participating in SgIS have good human resource capabilities and a strong focus on developing talent.
    Programme Structure

    • Full scholarship for Singapore Citizens about to embark on undergraduate studies in local universities (NTU, NUS, SMU, SUTD, SUSS and SIT).
    • Accepted applicants will receive exposure to induction programmes, internships and mentorships (specific programme varies from company to company)
    • Scholarship are offered by over 25 companies in the electronics and engineering sectors
    • Bond period: Three to four years

  • University Engineering Scholarship

    Overview

    This scholarship programme is offered by Nanyang Technological University (NTU), National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) and Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) to Polytechnic Diploma holders who pursue full-time Engineering or Technology-related undergraduate programmes at the four institutions.
